Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SkillEra IO, LLC ("Relationsheet") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our website and services (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and authentication identifiers (including from Google sign-in, if you use it).
- Content you create — the tables, records, and files you store in your workspace.
- Usage and device data — logs, IP address, and browser information used to operate and secure the Service.
How we use information
We use information to provide, secure, and improve the Service; to authenticate you; to communicate about your account; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Authentication and third parties
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. If you sign in with Google, Google shares basic profile information (such as your email) with us to create your account; we do not receive your Google password. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Data security
Access to your workspace data is enforced at the database layer through row-level security and tenant isolation. We restrict internal access to what is needed to operate the Service and provide support.
Data retention and your rights
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You may access, export, correct, or delete your data, and you may close your account at any time. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them.
If you start work as a guest — without signing up — that workspace is created and stored on our servers in the same way as any other, but it is not linked to an email address, so we cannot identify you or contact you about it. Guest workspaces that are never signed up for and left untouched may be removed after a long period of inactivity. Because there is no email attached, we also cannot verify that a guest workspace is yours if you ask us to export or delete it — add an email to it at any time if you want that control.
One exception, stated plainly: edit history is kept for 180 days. That is the record of who changed which cell, and when — what you see in a row’s history panel. Your actual data is not affected by this: rows, columns, sheets, files and everything else stay for as long as your account is active. Records of account-level events — ownership transfers, plan changes and administrative actions — are also kept beyond 180 days, because they are the audit trail for the account itself.
To keep the free trial to one per account and email address, we store a keyed one-way hash of your normalised email address when you start a trial. It cannot be turned back into your address. We keep it for 24 months, including after you delete your account, and then delete it.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use them to track you across unrelated sites.
If you create an account, Relationsheet also notes how you first reached it: whether you opened the Microsoft Store app, an installed app or a browser, and the campaign tag (for example utm_source) of the link that first brought you here. Until you sign up, these two notes stay in your browser’s local storage, and the campaign tag expires after 30 days. When you sign up they are stored with your account, together with a record of steps such as upgrading. Like the rest of your account data, this is held by the providers who host and run the service and can be seen by Relationsheet administrators. We use it only to understand how people find and use Relationsheet. It is deleted with your account.
